genbee Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Augme Technologies L.L.C. (“Augme,” “genbee,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information through genbee.
Who may use genbee
An adult creates and manages the family account and learner profiles. For the initial launch, genbee is limited to learners aged 13 or older who may lawfully use the Service in their location. We do not knowingly enable profiles for children under 13. An eligible learner may link a Microsoft sign-in to one profile through an invitation created by the adult account holder and may then submit information directly through tutoring interactions.
If you believe a child under 13 has used genbee or provided personal information, contact us promptly at support@augme.ai. We will investigate and delete the information where required.
Information we collect
- Account and identity data: adult or linked learner name, email address, Microsoft tenant and account identifiers, authentication claims, account role, and account preferences.
- Learner-profile data: display name, age-eligibility category and adult attestation, account relationship, invitation and membership status, consent settings, and profile status.
- Learning data: curriculum selections, secure progress, preferences, session records, interests, assessments, and reports.
- Tutoring data: voice audio and typed input processed during realtime tutoring, recognized speech, AI responses, active-session duration, and limited interaction excerpts used for security or safety review. genbee does not intentionally store raw learner voice recordings in its application database.
- Marketplace and credit data: subscription and entitlement identifiers, plan, credit grants and use, usage-meter records, activation state, and transaction events. Microsoft processes payment-card and Marketplace billing information.
- Technical data: device, browser, network, request, diagnostic, security, and operational-log information needed to run and protect the Service.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate users; provide and personalize tutoring and curriculum; manage learner profiles, subscriptions, credits, and entitlements; measure active usage; create reports; perform internal service analytics and cost management; respond to support, refund, reconciliation, privacy, and safety requests; prevent misuse; diagnose problems; improve reliability and learning experiences; and comply with law.
Automated systems may screen tutoring interactions for safety and create limited safety records for investigation. genbee is not an emergency service and does not promise continuous human monitoring.
When we disclose information
We disclose information only as reasonably necessary:
- to Microsoft for Entra sign-in, Marketplace fulfillment and billing, Azure hosting, Azure AI realtime tutoring, and related cloud operations;
- to Neo4j Aura to maintain the learning graph and state used to personalize learning;
- to contracted providers that support hosting, databases, monitoring, security, communications, or customer support;
- to professional advisers, authorities, or others when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or complete a corporate transaction; and
- at the adult account holder’s direction or with appropriate consent.
We do not sell personal information and do not use learner information for behavioral advertising. Service providers’ processing is governed by their agreements and our production configuration.
AI and voice processing
Browser audio is transmitted to Microsoft Azure Realtime services to provide voice tutoring. Recognized speech and limited excerpts may be processed in operational or safety systems. Avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive information. AI output can be inaccurate; important information should be independently checked.
Retention and deletion
We keep account, profile, and learning information while an account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When the adult account holder completes account deletion, genbee revokes access and scrubs identifying account and learner data, subject to the minimum records required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, and Marketplace integrity. Current production PostgreSQL backups are retained for up to seven days. Transactional records may be retained for the period required by applicable law. Security and safety records are retained only as long as reasonably needed to investigate and resolve the event or meet a legal requirement.
Choices and rights
The adult account holder can manage profiles and consent, download available account data, revoke learner sign-in access, and request account deletion through the account page. Depending on location, a person may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to appeal or complain to a regulator. We may verify identity and authority before acting. Contact us to exercise a right that is not available through the account controls.
Cookies and local storage
genbee uses browser storage and similar technologies needed for authentication, security, preferences, service-worker operation, and continuity of the learning experience. We do not use these technologies for third-party behavioral advertising.
Security and international processing
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, but no service can guarantee absolute security. genbee and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use lawful mechanisms for international transfers.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will post a revised effective date and provide other notice where required.
